Nigerian Women Advised Against Child Trafficking

Wife of the Chief Security Officer to President Goodluck Jonathan and founder of Branzik Ikull Centre for Social Rehabilitation (BICSR), Mrs Merit Gordon Obuah has advised women to fight against child trafficking and abuse.

Mrs Obuah spoke at a national sensitization campaign/ workshop against child trafficking and abuse, organized by the Queen of Aso, Mrs Oduah in Abuja, described child trafficking as evil that could be compared to modern day slavery.

Citing unemployment, illiteracy, poverty as factors that easily prod women into the dangerous trade, she called for the adoption of communal lifestyle where everyone shows love as strategy to discourage women from trafficking children.
