An Atlanta woman was sentenced to seven years in federal prison Monday for prostituting a 16-year-old girl in several different states.

Ms. Jessica Loren Posey ran an interstate prostitution ring involving the teen and was sentenced for human trafficking, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

“Child sex trafficking is an horrific crime committed by both men and women,” United States Attorney Mrs. Sally Yates said. “This defendant had no regard for the vulnerability of her victim and lured her into a quick-money lifestyle that led to the juvenile’s repeated sexual exploitation.”

Investigators said Ms. Posey met the teenager at a party in April 2010 and convinced her to engage in prostitution.

Ms. Posey used a laptop computer to create advertisements of the child that she placed on websites, including backpage.com, according to a court document.

She uploaded nude photographs of the juvenile on her cell phone and on a website that Ms. Posey created and arranged for customers to engage in sex acts with the victim. She also rented the hotel rooms where she caused the girl to engage in prostitution.

  1. In my opinion 7 years was not enough. She destroyed this little girl. 20 years would have been a more reasonable sentence.
